CampusFi
University Social & Safety Application
Imagine you’re in a new environment, all alone…
CampusFi is a social and safety-focused app I developed as my high school capstone project (2020 - 2021). Originally a fraternity management tool, it evolved into a platform for university students to connect, view events, message peers, and match with others based on shared interests; a novel application at the time.
As lead UI and UX designer, I surveyed over 200 college students to understand their social, educational, and safety needs. Through multiple design iterations and face-to-face feedback sessions, I created a modern intuitive interface that inspired spontaneity, pushing users to seek new experiences.
The app also includes safety features: “walk home” tracks location and alerts police if danger is detected, “need to leave - call” discreetly initiates a phone call, and “need to leave - buddy” pairs users with a companion for guidance. CampusFi combines social engagement with practical safety tools to enhance campus life.
